Phlogopite Mica Electrical Barrier supplied by SAM Composites India Pvt. Ltd. is made from phlogopite mica paper bonded with silicone resin. It combines high dielectric strength with excellent heat resistance, so it can insulate in ambient temperatures of 500 to 1000°C. It is asbestos free and gives off little smoke or odour when heated.
Electrical designers choose phlogopite mica when insulation has to work next to heat, arcs or heavy current. Phlogopite Mica Electrical Barrier is produced as rigid mica plate that can be stamped or machined into barriers, spacers, plates and other insulating parts. We inspect every batch before it ships. Barriers cut from mica plate keep live parts apart even when the surrounding temperature is very high.
