Phlogopite Mica Laminate from SAM Composites India Pvt. Ltd. is made from phlogopite mica paper bonded with silicone resin and pressed into rigid plate. It is asbestos free, shows good dielectric strength and can be used in ambient temperatures of 500 to 1000°C. We supply it in standard sheets and cut-to-size pieces for electrical, heating and thermal applications.
Phlogopite mica holds up where organic insulating boards would char or soften. Phlogopite Mica Laminate gives you a flat, rigid insulating material with good flexural strength and hardness that is easy to fabricate. Every batch is inspected before dispatch, and we cut or machine it to your drawing. Laminated phlogopite mica is chosen where a rigid, flat insulating part has to survive heat that would burn or soften organic laminates.
Phlogopite Mica Laminate is used for lining and spacing in furnaces, heaters and kilns, as a heat shield around hot equipment, and as insulating plate in electrical assemblies. Thin sheet below 2 mm can be stamped; thicker plate is turned, milled or drilled.
